The Little Things that Make Me Who I Am

Hey everybody! My name is Shana, I am 20 years old and this is my first semester here at NJCU. I’m here to get my B.A. in ceramics and Art teacher certification.

Ever since I was little I was ALWAYS outside taking in nature (aka playing in the mud) and to this day I am still always outside (considering the weather isn’t freezing). Everything about nature is inspirational to me and I think that’s what gravitated me towards ceramics. There is something so sublime about taking a blob of clay and turning it into something beautiful. As for why I am getting my art teacher certification; I love little kids and I believe that art is such an important part of a child’s development.

With School aside, I love traveling, cats, books, spending time with my boyfriend and family, and cooking! I am actually in the process of writing a cookbook with my boyfriend. I don’t know if it will ever get published but the process of experimenting with foods and making up our own recipes is so much fun anyway.

Here is my instagram and twitter links. I started twitter a few weeks ago so im still trying to figure it all out(HELP!!).
